I stopped using aim when I realized that everybody in my f-list were people I had next to no relationship with anymore. I tried inviting people to g-talk, but got very little response. Never used a ym account. not sure why.

I'm lrhunter316 on aim, but I haven't even loaded the program onto the new laptop. I should rectify that.

Well, YIM kept knocking me off every two seconds. It was REALLY annoying. So I upgraded it. It got worse. So I uninstalled it. Now I'm mostly using googletalk. Want an invite to gmail?

btw - thought of any ideas for pics/banners/etc. for your redesign? Something less person oriented?

I've had similar prolems with ym and thought it was because i'm looping it through trillian...

i'll look into googletalk. i have a gmail but i've never used it except when i was applying for a job at google. ;)

I activated ym (obviously), then promptly went through my LJ f-list for contacts. useful thing LJ. I should probably use it to weed the aim list. If I ever bother to reload aim.

Hm. Not sure, but can ask around. Me on mac, and making everyone just deal with me - I just have the secure acct (work, jabber) and the insecure account.
