Moment of Pause

My addendum: The speed with which we rise is not a factor. Just stay down for a bit and catch your breath.

Mmmm, wise advice . . .

The "how well" throws me a little... like, does it have to be graceful? Or do you just have to be determined to keep standing?

I think it's a breadbaking metaphor, i.e.; with how many lumps and holes;)

Oooh, I like that. Thank you. :)

Thank you for this. It speaks to me. What is the reason you put it up?

[identity profile] salixbabylon.livejournal.com 2012-01-30 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
It spoke to me. Made me ponder... Every Sunday I flip through the MoP photo folder and find one that seems like it's what I need to hear, for the day, for the week. This week I fell. A lot. Now it's time for me to get up.

I hope all is well with you. Hugs

Thanks for the reminder!
(years ago someone gave me a bit of calligraphy that says- Fall down nine times, Get up ten)
Gotta be done, eh?
Good luck with your rising;)

Hehe - yes, exactly that sentiment. And thank you. :)

Thanks for the addendum. I needed that.

The best thing I learned in CPR was to take a moment to assess the situation before acting. I think it's important to do so in all falls, physical or emotional. ;)

Much obliged.

Oh you, always making me think...

Just came back online and that was the first thing I saw. It made me cry - in a good way. Thank you for that. *hugs*

[identity profile] salixbabylon.livejournal.com 2012-01-30 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
*hugs tight* Glad you're back. Hvane't been good at commenting, but I was thinking about you and hoping things turn out well.

My Addendum: While you are down there, take a moment to think about what you could do differently next time. After all, if you are going to fall, you might as well grow stronger for the experience.

*glomps you soundly*

Lovely post.

GOod point. Also, the view from the ground can give you a new perspective. ;)

That is a very wise addendum to a very true saying!

First Aid training is useful in so many areas of life. :)
