Seriously, how much time do you spend telling yourself life is hard and that you suck? I know I personally do that way too often, so today I'm telling myself life is fun and I rock. I'm a decent writer, a good listener, a good coach, a great wife, and a pretty damn good person overall. You are too - tell me how!

I am good at learning languages. I am very good at analysing literary texts, and I even enjoy that a lot. I am rather good at cooking. I am good at lighting a fire. I know that I am good at teaching because I so much enjoy what I do and I usually convey that quite well.

I'm not very good at playing my piano, but I think I was very good at starting lessons at 40. I'm also good at never missing my lessons.

How's that for positive thinking? And that is something else I'm good at!

I bake great muffins and cakes and I make awesome pancakes but my waffles are even awesomer, eh more awesome.

Which brings me to the next thing I'm good at: English :) And not just in writing - I can pronounce the th correctly and I don't think I have an accent.

I'm a good listener and I'm very empathetic. I can make people laugh. And it makes me happy when I do.

I can clean, do laundry, iron, cook, bake and bitch - I'll make the right man an awesome wife someday. ;)

I am pretty darn good at my job (or so they keep telling me as they try to lure me back to the last place I worked). I'm a decent, if traditional, writer. I'm a very good listener, and an excellent talker. *eg* And, most important, in the eyes of my kids, I am a great mom.

I am an excellent drywall taper. It was a fun career while my joints lasted.

I make really good bread. No machines involved, just my hands, baby. And soup. I am famous for my red pepper soup, and cauliflower and cheese chowder, and I make a mean potato soup too.

I am good at getting needles. I do not even flinch.

I am good at writing really really smutty porn. Also, I'm good at academic essays, letters to the government begging to be forgiven interest/extend deadlines/go past time limits etc, fundraising letters (but I hate them), and parodies of songs (filk). And other kinds of writing too.

I am good at getting YOU horny. It's a gift, what can I say...

I'm a darn good organizer if I do say so myself. Everything has a place and I make sure to put it there. The files on my computer are so organized I can find anything I need in almost no time at all. Even if I need folders within folders within folders, I organize everything to the very last. I even went on an organizational tirade last year. Managed to get all the Christmas and photo boxes completely sorted out. Also was able to save space in the mean time. I was kind of impressed with myself for that.
