(Okay, really, it's a cameo role in my fic. I am tragically bad at coming up with names for random characters, so I thought I'd make it into a fun little contest thingy on my LJ.)

R201-Jared's "date" will be with whichever fangirl can prove that she loves Jared the most.

But this is not a popularity contest – you have to actively do something:
List the reasons you love Jared, the things you love about him.

Whoever can come up with the most reasons in 24 hours, wins. You can make as many posts as you need. Posts will be screened.

Note: There is a maximum limit of 10 "reasons" in praise of his body!

Winner will have the name of their choice (your real name, your fannish name, whatever) as Jared's girl du jour. ;)

Well...my real name and fannish name is the same name as his wife's name...only except it's not really her real name and she doesn't pronounce it right...but mine is my real name and pronounced the correct way...so I doubt I'd be the girl du jour name... especially since some fans don't like her. :(( Good luck on this...sounds like a great idea to get people involved and you get not only a name for his girl, but you get to learn new qualities in Jared you may not have noticed yourself. *hugs*

Okay, because it's you, here goes...

I'm more of a Jensen girl. I loved Jared, sure, but I loved Jensen more. I thought Jared was adorable and I loved his smile (see icon, it makes me happy) and I loved that he loves animals (how cute is he with his dogs?) but I loved Jensen more. And then I met them both and Jensen is too much, too beautiful, but there was this vibrancy to Jared, and he fills up all this space but he's comfortable in it, and I love his drawling accent and I kind of had an oh my goodness, I had no idea how hot you actually are moment.

Those are my first early morning still half asleep thoughts on Jared. :)

Oh, plus, I love him because he did that whole "did you lick it / is it dirty" thing in front of us with Misha. And that pretty much saved our convention experience. ;D

I wasn't going to comment because I figured there would be dozens of others who could list Jared's qualities far more eloquently than I could, but judging from the other comments listed, it sounds like a lot of people are missing out!

I think I'll have to start with his sweet smile. He's got a grin that just lights up the world. His smile just seems truly genuine, like he's honestly that happy all the time. It makes him seem laid-back and approachable. He doesn't seem like he'd be the type to anger quickly. His sense of humor is infectious. He's not afraid to laugh good and loud, and I love the sound of it.

And he love dogs! And from the pictures I've seen of him with his dogs, they love him too. You can't fool a dog's instincts; they know a good person when they see one.

He's incredibly tall and well-built, but manages not to be overly imposing, drawing out feelings of safety rather than fear.

He's got a good balance of strength and vulnerability, which gives him credibility and makes him seem human and real, an especially useful trait when acting.

He's seems pretty down-to-earth (maybe that Texas upbringing?), which I think makes it easy to relate to him.

As for looks, any picture of him is worth a thousand words, and a picture says it all better than I could.

Um...I'm sure I could think of a million more things to wax poetic on when it comes to Jared; I'm just not sure I could do him justice.

Why I love Jared. (because I love BOTH him and Jensen and no one else is playing)

1) He seems like a real goof-ball and like he's be extremely fun to hang out with.
2) He looks like he'd be fun to hug, like my arms could wrap all the way around his waist despite all the muscle.
3)He seems to genuinely love and appreciate everyone for who they are, and like he is a good guy. Rare traits in this world.
4) Not afraid to laugh at himself.
5) Not afraid to do what he loves.
6) Good with people and animals.
7) Based on how he portrays himself to fandom and fans, I think he'd just be a wonderful, smart, friendly, helpful person to know. Seems like he could be your best friend.
8) I really just want to pet his hair.

5) Such a good friend to Jensen. Love their chemistry (both as friends and in the sense that they could be more than friends).

8) Speaking of his physique, but not in relation to how hot he is, but the determination and strength he shows just by having built his body into what it is when he was pretty much a string-bean in Gilmore Girls.

9) That floppy, goofy hair! Liked it better S2-3, I think it's too long now.

10) Love how his Texas accent slips into Sam's voice every little bit. (Same for Jensen/Dean).

11) A man who will readily admit to eating as much candy as he does can't be anything but sweet. :P

12) I think that standing next to him would make me feel small and protected, something I rarely get to feel, being 5'9".

Well, those are only the reasons for loving Jared Padalecki that I could put into words on such short notice.
