I am so in trouble. I have spent the last 3 days reading insane amounts of LotR and RPS fics. I don't even really like it all that much, but I am a woman obsessed. I don't even understand -why- there is RPS. And I don't really think Orlando Bloom is all that droolworthy. Well, most of the time... Argh.

That muffled thudding sound you hear? My head hitting the desk.

back in the saddle

Spent all afternoon beta-ing a really interesting fic. But ACK, it's so difficult! I mean, it's always difficult, to walk that line between being thorough and being harsh, but now, after my recent experience, it's REALLY hard. Knowing first-hand how it feels to be tromped on, even accidentally, makes me cringe every time I point out an inconsistency. But it's my -job- to be through. Hopefully she'll believe my gushing (which is sincere) and honestly take all my comments with a grain of salt.

It's always weird betaing for someone new, not knowing how they'll react to my style, not wanting the hurt them, but wanting to do a good job. Blech.
