amusing ourselves
Mar. 15th, 2005 08:47 amLast night we decided we had to do date night and rented a movie. A Movie Which Will Not Be Named, because I know a lot of you posted that you liked it when it came out. But my husband and I, as wanky ex-history majors, in Medieval England and Ancient Rome, well, we thought it was so bad that we had a great time laughing at it and MST3K-ing it (for those of you old enough to remember MST3K). We thought we were very funny...
At one point in the movie, it was snowing and supposedly cold, but no one was wearing any extra clothing.
me: It's snowing and they're not wearing any hats.
husband: Hat hair.
me: Scourge of the Middle Ages.
(probably the best witticism I have come up with in years, that one.)
and later, continuing the theme, one guy rides up to another wearing a bizarrely dorky helmet.
me: nice hat
husband: Thanks, but it gives me hat hair.
Ah yes. After 11 years, we still make each other laugh.
ETA: I honesty *was* just trying to be polite, not make you all try to guess the movie. ;)
