I may not look at licorice in the same way again! Ewan's "challenge" of Eric is so interesting, and it feels like it's one of the things that brings some extra creativity and spice to their relationship. I like that.
Ewan doesn't entirely object to ritual, but he's got a thing for spontaneity. he's still not willing to entirely give it up to Eric, to loose all self-consciousness and just be. These are great character observations. I really like that you always include touches like this in these fics.
