nightmares
Sep. 6th, 2003 09:27 amIt's official - I'm scaring myself. Sure, I've had HP-slash sex dreams before. But I've never had an HP-slash nightmare until now. Last night I had 3 nightmares in a row, all nasty gorey bloody things, murder and mutilation and betrayal. (Well, Harry and I aren't sure if Severus betrayed us or made a mistake with the spell.)
The weirdest part, to me, is that I woke up with a phrase of the spell in my head. In Latin. Not having the slightest idea what it could mean, since I haven't studied Latin in about, oh, 5+ years and was never very good at it. So, I looked it up: "aetas carus". I didn't even misspell it, although I'm sure I got the grammar wrong. My translation of it is "a costly/dear/risky time/age/epoch." Which I think describes both Harry's world perfectly, as well as the global/political situation right now. And of course, my nightmare world.
How the fuck did I come up with a phrase in Latin that ACTUALLY MAKES SENSE??? My brain scares me so much sometimes.
