Life is good today. I'm kicking ass and taking names, crossing things off my to-do list, getting organized, applying for jobs, and walked the dog at the park even. God I live in such a gorgeous place... I should take pictures some time, but there's just no way to capture the miles and miles of rich blue sky and fluffy white clouds and redwood trees and the fresh woodsy smell after 3 days of rain and the cold air stinging your cheeks and the squelch as you and the dog tromp through the muddy forest toward the rushing creek. It's just magical.

Say hello to a new person everyday.

I am from the South and have lived here my whole life. Last year, I had two walking buddies who lived here, but weren't from here. One was from Miami and one was from Michigan. When we'd be walking, if someone passed us, I'd say hi and that person would say hi back. My two friends were astonished that people would actually do this. Now, I don't know if it is a Southern thing or what, but I always feel sad that my friends never even considered greeting someone they saw walking by. What kind of world is this where you don't say hi to people? Since then, I've challenged myself to say hi whenever possible (it is easy around here, even living in a bigger city) and I try to challenge others to that too. You up for it?

By the way, I am totally stealing this meme! It rocks!!

Hee! How about write some more H/D?! :) (Which reminds me I still have to read your first (?) story, which now that I'm more or less functional, I hope to do soon.)

Hmm.... More H/D.... I'll see what I can do. I rarely set out to write H/D on purpose, but the bunnies just fall into my lap. Right now I'm trying to get mentally prepared for a continuation of a long Harry/Severus and Remus/Charlie story.

But it's only January - I'm sure I'll write some H/D at some point. :)
