for
olivia_lupin who asked "how's things?"
Dec. 10th, 2003 11:58 amSchool -- I had to take incompletes in all of my classes. Which majorly sucks because I would have been finished a week ago, if I hadn't gotten ill. So now I have three final projects left to do, with no actual end dates, but I'd like to be finished ASAP. Hopefully by 12/17/03 which is when the semester officially ends. Blech. So that totally sucks.
Work -- Work is ok. I'm working part-time anyhow, so I didn't use up all my vacation time and have to do unpaid-time-off, which I probably would have if I was working full-time. On the one hand, I've been a major slacker since I've been back, but on the other hand, no one notices so I don't really care. I just want to finish my stupid degree and get a job that actually interests me.
Home -- Husband has been SO fantastic, I don't have enough gooey words of love and sappy praise for him. He's been an absolute darling. The dog has also been a most devoted beast. I would, however, like his poison oak to clear up so I can snog him properly, as I'm getting a bit twitchy. Too many weeks without enough cuddling or sex...
Misc
- Friends have been offering help and well-wishes, and I feel very thoroughly loved.
- Family is being very low-key about xmas demands on our time and money.
-
- RPS fic-writing is going well. I'm anxious to get my website fixed up and tackle some research for my beloved and angsty werewolf.
And in 7 more days LOTR:ROTK comes out! *bounce*bounce*bounce*explode*

Date: 2003-12-10 12:33 pm (UTC)Thanks! Horribly sorry about the school thing...nothing like planning on being done and then not being able to be done. Ugh. Hope everything shakes out the way you want it to...as for work, well...yeah, pretty much you just need to do the 'graduate and get the job you love' thing. So, yeah, back with the school gig. Circular, no?
You husband sounds like a love. (Sorry he's got the creeping crud, though.)
And on a related but other-post note (related re: RPS and other post re: well, it was in another of your posts :P)....I've never been much on RPS but I read your recently posted one. It was...inspirational. :D:D
Keep the faith, sweetie. It'll all come out in the wash. Even the weather and creaky pipes.
*hugs*

Date: 2003-12-10 08:38 pm (UTC)I have absolutely no idea.
Oh wait yes I do - absolute insanity, coupled with rarely going out socially and completely ruining my health with stress.
Actually, in reality, I couldn't do the work+school without the wonderfully supportive lover. I knew I'd found the right one when I found someone who helped me -have- time instead of taking it up. He makes sure I relax properly, eat properly, and sleep properly. Clearly, he's not been doing his job too well lately, or I wouldn't have gotten ill! *g*
But he's extra useful for things like standing in line hours and hours early for the first showing of the day at the movie theater! I just hope he won't be too upset when I *squee*. He got a little embarrassed the 2nd time we saw POTC with another fangirly friend.
Are you doing the other 2 movies back-to-back first? I think we're just going to watch the dvds the night before.
