I mean, yes, tremendous YAY for Supernatural being back. That makes tonight a massive win.

Dude! The same speech again? WTF?

Also:

Dear Mr/s Writers Peoples,

Please to be giving Dean back his balls, ok?

Please.

Sammy and I miss them.

-Salix

Seriously, I know I suck for this but I truly dislike the horror movie ones. I love the plot arc. I love the MOTW ones. I hate the uber-creepy for no reason shit, like in Season 1. Like Dean, people creep me out so much more than ghosts.

And incest? *Again*? Come on people, be more creative than that - that's what they're paying you for!

Dean's emo, while it gets me every time, was just lame there at the end. PLus, I refuse to believe he enjoyed it. *hands over ears* LALALALA NOT LISTENING TO YOU, DEAN.

Bring back Castiel, make Dean grow a pair, and give the emo back to Sammy. I wanna know what YED was up to for his "end game" and see the boys give Lilith the smackdown.

But it's back. Yay! *clings*

Oh SPN, I can't stay mad at you...

The sound was missing at the last scene so I don't know what Dean said :-/

About the ep. I remember a friend said that she doesn't look forward to see this ep because XY wrote it(Who was it) and she never likes the eps he wrote.

Well I think it was an okay-ep nothing more or less. It had its moments.

Yeah, I know it's not a popular opinion, but me too. The writer, Jeremy something , I think? Did I hear earlier in the Season that he is a new writer? Cause I felt this ep had potential, but it was (dare I say) badly written. Like, where is the rest of the writing staff, cause with some decent editing I think this could have been a lot better. Too much telling, not enough showing. I was itching to take a red pencil to some of the lines, and cringing for the actors who were really working to make something out of this (IMO) bad dialog.

I'm wondering how this little girl was able to overpower and get away from Dean. I get she had a knife, but still she seemed kind of scrawny.

The obligatory tacked on angst scene at the end was so tacked on, which, okay, is better than no angst, but it seems like it could have been better integrated.

I'm with you, on all points, J!

I can handle ghosts and goblins, but that girl was ... *shivers*. Me and my youngest kept turning away from the TV when she was on. I wouldn't walk down the hallway to the bathroom by myself last night! Too many doors she could be lurking behind. *facepalm*

I like a strong Dean and an emo Sammy. This role reversal is messing with my mind!

I hope your friend is right and it's just this writer. Maybe they'll fire him/her. :P

It wasn't awful. It just wasn't as good as I've come to expect from season 4 so far, IMO.

Yeah, I had to go get a few cookbooks and start doing some menu planning during the creepy moments. I haven't had to do that since Season 1. :P

Good point about the role reversal - and like you, it just isn't working for me. I like seeing Dean's angst, yeah, but he needs to pull it together. And WTF is going on in Sammy's head? They just anre't giving us anything with Sam anymore. I miss him.

I hadn't thought about it being badly writtnen, bubt I think you're right that that's where the problem was - too much telling, not enough showing. I know as a writer that's somehting I struggle with but it's way more essential in TV and movies than in fiction.

The kids being so magically strong and fit (rather than starving to death and dying) was confusing for me too. There were just too many loop-holes. I hope the rest of the season gets back to the higer quality of the first half.

Still have to watch the new ep, so I don't think me commenting here is at all necessary, but, um, yeah. :)
