All of those snowflake cookies made me want to start my baking.

Help me decide what to make, please?

I made gingersnaps today. I had the first batch in the oven and was putting the remaining dough in the fridge to cool it down a bit when I saw the jar of peach preserves sitting in the door shelf. I proceeded to make gingersnap thumbprints with the peach preserves in them. YUM!

My dearest darling I've been in the same boat for a week. I just gave in and made all five.... I REALLY should have been studying for finals this weekend not making Christmas cookies...

I voted for fudge. All your choices are excellent, but there's nothing like rich fudge melting on your tongue.

Well, to be honest, I usually do the easy marshmallow fudge - http://www.christmas-cookies.com/recipes/recipe191.fantasy-fudge.html

This time, I'm going to try "real" fudge, using this recipe - http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/chocolate-fudge-recipe/index.html

Agreed - and truffles are a huge pain in the ass to make. Fudge wins. ;)

Well, I'm definitely making the gingerbread and spicy pecans. The decorated cookies I'm only going to do if I can find some helpers. ;)

I agree - she should send some over. I'll trade for the mexican wedding cookies. I think I'll even be brave and try real fudge this year instead of the marshmallow fantasy fudge. *crosses fingers*

God those sounds delicious! Next year, we should trade... Or visit each other, since they're always better fresh. ;)

Have you ever been to a cookie exchange? I won a cookie contest with pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting. Yummy.

All of your options sound wonderful.

OMG that sounds yummy. :)

I haven't, no. Maybe I'll try to set something up online next year, when there's time to get things out in the mail.
