salixbabylonmy brain is a very messy place right now, so i don't think this is going to make a lot of sense. i keep writing mental lj posts right before i fall asleep so here are some of them:
last night we went to dinner with some friends, and the moment we got home, my husband and i were both in the bedroom, immediately taking off our "nice" clothes and putting them away. within moments we were in jammies. his observation = "we're like the jammies equivalent of nudists." it's so true. we rarely wear actual, real clothes around the house.
my herbalist friends were concerned when i said that i'd been crying daily and unable to sleep, so they prescribed "free and easy wanderer" chinese medicine pills thingies. i took the recommended dosage and was SO STONED. it was *supposed* to make me feel like i'd had a glass of wine; it *made* me feel like i had most of a bottle and definitely shouldn't be driving a car.
i keep forgetting to take the pills, though, so i'm still crying every day. my husband is the best man on earth, and is just so good at bringing me kleenex and assuring me my papers won't suck and that it's almost over.
i did discover that going outside and hacking at the trees with the saw-on-a-stick is a very therapeutic stress reliever, and a nice way to get outside for a break. and the tree looks happier with the dead branches gone.
and i am, in fact, about 85% finished with the first paper. i hope to finish in the next 2 days.
and then i get to tackle paper #2.
blech. diet and fencing and social life totally on hold for next 3 weeks.
