Answering questions from [livejournal.com profile] veritatem:

1. What is the title of your Great Unpublished Novel?

Hm. I suck at titles. Probably something bodice-ripper-sounding, since I think the lesbian Icelandic witchy one is the one I'm most likely to actually finish writing in the next few years. The others are just a few lines here and there of ideas, or only short stories.

"Braided Love" would deeply amuse me.

2. What album in your collection are you most embarrassed you own?

Ooh, tough call; there's so very much I'm embarrassed by. I'll have to go with the Black Sabbath compilation though, because I haven't even been able to force myself to listen to the whole thing all the way through.

3. Which is sexier: black leather or black vinyl?

Leather. No question. Are you wearing some?

4. If you found yourself under house arrest, how long would it take before you went stir crazy?

Probably quite a while, as long as I was allowed to go out into my back yard. Between the computer and books and Amazon.com and Netflix and gardening, I think I'd do pretty well. I'd finally have time to get caught up on my outstanding projects and stop being such a social butterfly. So, a few years, at least.

5. If you could make one adjustment to human biology, what would you tweak?

I think it would be cool if we used more of our brains. But I'm not sure if that old "fact" was disproved, and I doubt it would make people any more compassionate in the end, anyhow. I don't want the mean people to be smarter.

It would also be cool if it was more of an ordeal to -get- pregnant that to -not- get pregnant, but again, we might need that someday if the world blows up.

So I guess nothing. We are an imperfect design, but the beauty of our survival is in the balance of the imperfections.

Anyone wanting questions, please respond!

1) How on earth did you get from theater to mathematics?

2) Places you have lived (if that's too stalker-esque, how about places you would LIKE to live, or at least visit for a minimum of one year?)

3) Beast you would most want to be from "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"?

4) One a scale of 1-5, how fandom-obsessed ARE you, and how would you argue your point in front of a jury of non-believers?

5) Are you going to get OOtP at midnight and are you dressing up for it?

1) Hmmm. It's not so much that I've gone from one to the other as it is that I've always loved them both...odd as that may seem. *g*

2) Places I have lived...okay...Wisconsin, Michigan, Oklahoma, Connecticut, New Hampshire...and those I'd like to live: the UK.

3) The runespoor...no question about it. It's a Slytherin thing...

4) Oh, probably a five...*sigh* Although I'm still woefully ignorant of so much of the fandom's history, I'm also probably happiest that way. *g* As far as arguing my point to non-believers...well, I guess it's like any kind of acquired taste...until they develop it, there's not much hope for them. My one absolute, however, would be to inform them quite clearly that unless they've tried it, they oughtn't knock it...

5) Oh, yes. But probably just dressed up as myself, unfortunately...I'm not sure the world is ready for me in full HP regalia. Hell, I'm not sure I'm ready for that...if I ever did appear in the total get-up, I might never dress in any other way again. There's something so inherently practical (yet also very appealing) about wizard robes, no?

*giggle*

Actually, every time i get fully-witchy, with the long black dress/robes and everything (not often - my coven doesn't really do anything that requires taking ourselves seriously), i am surprised at how comfortable it is! aside from the dumb hats, i'd be all for dressing that way every day... like wearing a nightgown all day!
