I think you provided a forum for a debate that really wanted to take place. And it was a good debate, with everyone expressing ideas and, at the same time being fairly respectful of others. Which is one of the real strengths of women and the way women communicate.

I think maybe it made us reflect ourselves. I read your post and thought, that does sound right, so why am I enjoying those mpreg stories so much? Hmmm ... until I came up with some sort of explanation.

Um, well, you see I have this policy of not being contentious about fandom on my lj, since people are there for the fic, so it was kind of bottled up inside me. Possibly shouldn't be exporting my arm-waving though.

I obviously need to do a POV rant on my own lj. I'm committed to teaching absolutely any fanfic writer who will listen, and quite a few who won't, the basics of POV and why you can't change POV at random.
