movie review
Jun. 25th, 2005 08:36 pmWent to see "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" today and LOVED IT. My husband say "most realistic movie about marriage ever." *g* There were so many layers of personal irony for our particular marital problems:
-married 5 (or 6) years
-same style of couples therapy
-not really talking about the important things anymore
-keeping secrets
-anal retentive/organized wife with more impulsive husband
-more obviously "loving" husband than wife
-and the final thing -- the movie theater is in the same building complex as our marriage therapist :)
We had a blast -- best date movie we've seen together in eons. We kept joking about having not *actually* tried to kill each other (yet) and so on. Great fun - 2 thumbs up. :)
And in other news - mentioned to my husband the oddity that having read so mich fic recently featuring Ewan McGregor (Obi and Grimes), I find myself in the odd situation of thinking he's hot, when I didn't before reading fics (much like Alan Rickman and Sean Bean).
To which my sweetie replies, "You didn't think he was hot? Of course he's hot. Duh."
"*You* think he's hot?" I ask.
him: *nods* "Of course"
me: *explodes all over the place*
I always knew he was a latent bisexual. :P

Date: 2005-06-26 02:12 pm (UTC)I love Mr & Mrs Smith, I think the whole house scene after they've found out about each other is one of the best, and I'm looking forward to getting it on dvd when it comes out.

Date: 2005-06-26 05:09 pm (UTC)Actually, no. Mostly because I look at my shampoo bottles and can't imagine them fitting into any of my orifices... Perhaps you have different size/shape bottles than I do? (Actually, I'm semi-serious - never been able to picture a shampoo bottle that would work for that.)
But there are a variety of other amusements in the toybox, a few of which we played with last night. ;) I was *so* tempted to break out his bday presents a few weeks early...
