feeling the love
Jul. 8th, 2003 09:28 amWhoo!
olivia_lupin didn't get upset with me for pimping my stuff in her LJ. Thank you, thank you! (And I promise I won't do it again! [It felt very childish/attention-seeking.])
And she and
icarusancalion said I was ok at beta-ing! Yae!
Feel the love!
So I've finished the SB/RL story and one of the SS FQF stories... I had thought I had a better idea and was going to write another variation for the SS FQF story, but it's really resisting being written.
On the other hand, I've had lots and lots of ideas and conversations floating through my head (mostly tangentally inspired by listening to "When Love Speaks" on the morning drive and thinking about the sonnets all day) for the VS sequel "whatever happened to Remus?"... I'm looking forward to working on that later this month; it's at the "stringing it all together" stage. And while I blush to think of the lit-wankyness of quoting Shakespeare at length... it's better than quoting Nine Inch Nails, which I am currently just cheek-blisteringly ashamed to have done in VS.
But it was my first fic, and the longest thing I've ever written, so I guess it's ok that it already feels awkward and juvenile. It really helped me get a lot of feelings out and "on paper" that had been hurting me for a long time.
Ah, writing as therapy. At least it's better than writing as masturbation! (Although far less fun! *g*)
And she and
