workshops and May goals

(if you're also reading my RL lj,
wantonhussy, you will notice a lot of repetitiveness in the personal posts. This one generally has more details, though, since I can be honest here.)
Update:
My workshops on Friday went *really* unbelievably well. I enjoyed doing them and the participants seemed pleased with their experiences. Of course, I'd love some direct feedback from them, but at least they seemed more than just polite at the end.
Note to self, though: "Normal" people often do not have much experience doing group meditation-type exercises. I t takes them a *long* time to settle down and shut the hell up. I wonder if that was just these people or the nature of working with "the public"...
Anyway though, it went super-well, I enjoyed it, and I think this *is* something I could do with my life for reals. *g*
Oh, and Happy Beltane/sweet springtime to everyone! Go get your groove on outside, solo or partnered, some time today! :)
Goals for May:
1. super-clean every inch of the house and take stuff to donate
2. finish as many outstanding short stories as possible (currently I have 13 WIPs I truly want to get done, and another 11 that are probably not worth pursuing anymore, but are worth at least checking out and officially declaring as stinkers)
WIPS:
50 kinky ways ficlets
sequel to Atlas' Shoulders (2 chapters)
sequel to Inside the Captain's Cabin
Harry/Draco PWP
Hidalgo fic
sequel to Virulentus Somnium
Orli/Eric/Bean PWP
Obi angst-fic
Obi/Qui humor with
sileya
Obi/Qui PWP
5-stages fic
Orli/Vig/Karl with
lostiawen
Stinkers:
nah, not going to embarrass myself ;)
3. write my weekly column about sex
4. start belly dancing again

Date: 2006-05-01 06:11 pm (UTC)And Happy Bealtaine to you too! (That's the gaelic spelling)
I celebrated it by spending the day at the zoo communing with nature with my husband, mad two-year old and bored fifteen year old. Was fun! :)

Date: 2006-05-02 07:19 am (UTC)There are SO freaking many of us witches/pagans in the LotRiPs fandom. I think there needs to be a comm. It's amazing me how many people around the various areas in this fandom who are either letting their beliefs show in fics or in their entries. It's wonderful! [/ramble]
Happy Beltaine to you as well! Hope you had a blast, and got lots of bruises, as we discussed earlier ;). I am not going to deny I was excited about this Sabbat because of the 'adult themed' part at the end hehe. Unfortunatly I had to miss it. And my damn coven members kept sending me sexy energy at work! Surrounded by dildoes and unable to do a thing about it!
Did you get to play with a Maypole? It was snowing here, apparently, so when they were out jumping over the fire pit and such the ground was wet hehe.

Date: 2006-05-02 04:33 pm (UTC)My husband and I had a lovely little blessing of our homestead/strengthening the barriers. I have yet to get the hang of having ritual sex *and* enjoying it enough to come. So we moved inside for part two. :) I did get a bit of sunburn in very white spots, though.
I've only been to a few "PG-13" rated Beltane rituals. My coven is small and not-sexual-with-each-other and we're all very monogamous. I would love to do a Maypole someday - maybe next year!

Date: 2006-05-03 07:32 am (UTC)We did, despite the fact I didn't actually go, a very G-rated first part and then an R/NC-17 second part. And my coven has a reputation in the NW for being the "vampire sex cult." Which I guess is kind of true, because a lot of them are all sleeping with each other. At the festival I went to, there was actually a song sung at the talent show about all the different types of Witches and how they'd get it on with others, (things like Dianics and Satanists getting it on, despite the fact that Satanists aren't witches...) but the jist was sleeping within your coven was a bad choice, and then they said, "Just look at the Sylvan Grove" hehe And wow, that was a lot to get to just to say that they're all very very sexually oriented.

Date: 2006-05-03 03:33 pm (UTC)Well, I was corrected last night - the big COmmunity Seeds ritual was PG-13 but apparently the "after party" was full of public sex all over the place. BUt, as with the aforementioned monogmay and non-pagan husband, I wouldn't have been able to participate much anyway. ;)
In the end, I suppose a nice stable enduring relationship is worth giving up some random Beltan nookie.
