Sorry to everyone who I've only been responding to sporadically. Yesterday was the 3rd day in a row that it was over 102 degrees *inside* the house. I've been having to turn off the computer for most of the day because the whine of the fan (with another table fan 2 inches away, pointed directly at it) is too much to bear.

Yesterday the heat/lack of sleep caught up to me in a big way in the form of nausea, cramps, hysterical sobbing, indecisiveness. And I'm not even close to PMSing.

Anyway. Sorry for not replying for most of the weekend. God, I hope it cools off soon. I just can't stand this. Last night we talked about checking into a hotel just to get some sleep in a room that was under 80 degrees at midnight.

*sends very cold thoughts*

Not nasty, hateful sort of cold thoughts - more like ice cubes melting and trickling down your spine. Ice cold lips caressing you in the nether region. Lying on your back beside a spring-fed stream on a cool mossy surface while four naked, burly men massage peppermint oil into your extremities.

Okay, those are kinda hot thoughts.

Jump in a pool!!

Mm.. those are the kind of cold thoughts I like best.

Maybe I could get some serious-snogging-Ewan-in-a-walk-in-refrigerator-action going.

No wait, I'm hot again now. ;)

Off to jump in the shower. WHee!

*pets you* I understand completely sweetie. I haven't totally melted down, but I am having the same heat issues; I had a whole free weekend to accomplish things and I just could not sit down at the computer to work because it is too hot in that room to think. My complete and total focus is on cooling that house down. And we're nowhere near as hot as you are.

A hotel might be good. Or an afternoon at the library. Isn't the fog supposed to come in tonight? *prays for fog* Take care dear.

Exactly! I feel like such a slacker, but... I just can't think at all. :P

NO fog here, sadly. We've got a range of mountains between us and the ocean. SC is about 20 degrees cooler, though, and that's where I'm headed now, after a very very cold shower.

Library tomorrow, if it's bad again. GOod idea.

Well the air temperature here has cooled down, so hopefully it will come your way soon.

The men temperature, however just seems to be heating up.

*sends soft, cooling breezes your way*

We had temps in the upper 90's up here around Seattle, which is about 20° hotter than usual.

I can remember when we lived in San Jose, feeling like I was just melting. The day we brought Kylie home from the hospital in mid-June, it was 105° outside. She was just this tiny, new little being and she was miserable all the time.

*crosses fingers for some weather relief for you*

Poor kiddo. :(

It's actually cooler today - noon and not even 80 inside yet. Yay! :)
