help = tickers and graphics

1) Ok, I know some of you have done the NaNoWriMo thing, and I've seen lots of date-count-down things in general from the tickerfactory.com... And I figured out how to make one that counts down to the word goal, at the tickerfactory.com, but I don't get how to update it. Help me out? Or point me towards another website for something more writing-goal specific? Please?

2) Anyone want to make 2 (maybe 3) relatively low-complexity graphics for the "winners"/completers of theaprilfools? I have some ideas in mind, but am, as always, open to suggestions. Anyone? We can negotiate payment for services rendered. :)
