OK, I just HAVE to stop reading HP-slash again. Too many pairings that I like, too many inconsistent warnings for non-con and mutilation, and "dark!fic" covers way too much to be a useful label. And for some reason, I seem to get uber-obsessive-compulsive about it, in a way I don't get over other fandoms. I guess because when I get tired of H/D (or can only find crap), I can move onto H/S or H/R or S/R or S/S or H/R/Sn or H/R/Si or the infinite possibility of any-W/anyone or or or.

I'm just too attached to the characters, I suppose, after this many years of having them occupy my brain as JKR slowly doles out the crack and keeps the addiction alive.

I had mutilation nightmares all night and can't stop shaking. You'd think finger-loss wouldn't squick me so much but jesusfuckingchrist it gets to me more than just about anything else on the planet. *shiver*
