New Friending Policy

I friend everyone back EXCEPT journals that are entirely in languages I don't speak, or if we have no common friends and no shared interests. (If you are one of these, leave me a note so that I know you aren't a bot, and I will add you.)
**ADDENDUM** My fanfic is open to all; you don't have to friend me to access it, except for a few stories. If you DO friend me, I expect at least ONE COMMENT on something you've read or seen. Is that too much to ask?

At some point in the nearish future, I'm going to figure out a way to go through and remove people who have never ever commented on anything. I get that readers want access to the fanfic, but the stories that are locked are locked for a reason. It's making me very uncomfortable to have so many people with access, who have never said a word - often not even a note asking to be friended.
Feel free to comment with a smiley face or a heart - I don't need a paragraph singing my praises. Just some actual human interaction, please. :)
ETA: This honestly was not meant to cause drama.
- If you want to stay, you are welcome. If you're worried you'll be cut, comment here.
- If you get de-friended, all you have to do is ask to return.
- If, however, you came for the fic and now you want to go, there's no obligation to stay.
