Date: 2007-06-07 01:02 am (UTC)3) Sweetpeas are wonderful. Brugmansia is lovely too. I keep thinking I need to buy the scents in the fragrance I made up last year and make more - I love that scent!
4) Wynterhawk said what I was going to suggest. Possibly Craig's list?
8) Start with a walk with the dog!
*hugs*

Date: 2007-06-07 01:59 am (UTC)Brugmansia is a new one on me, not that I am any sort of expert on flowers. Generally I go to Menards Garden section and go "Ooh, pretty!" and buy it. Then everyone asks me what it is and I have to go look up on the little tag...hee. I'm trying to learn!! But when you've got Verbena flowers and Viburnum bushes, it's really not fair! *G*

Date: 2007-06-07 01:54 am (UTC)2. I think they'd be more likely to say bollocks, but you need a Brit to answer that definitively!
3. Lilacs are pretty intoxicating...
4. I typed "xena poster" into google and got quite a few hits...
5. The bestest fun evah!! *pop pop pop pop* It's like cocaine, dude... :P
6. According to the Japanese: Boy's Love. *G* Ironically, that's how they refer to it in Japan...hee...I think I got on Wikipedia that technically each vowel should be pronounced separately so it's "Yah-oh-ee", but when you slur it all together it generally sounds like "Yow-ee".
7. Silver or red, though it depends on your wardrobe. I tend to leave dark blues and purples for the winter months. :P
8. I had a friend that absolutely fell in love with kick-boxing and got in really good shape. I agree with the above, though, that a nice walk with the dog sounds like a good start. If you have a dog...hee...
9. I actually like the other dresses on that page better, especially the floral!
10. Lots of fun but work of the devil, known by his other name: Procrastination. I know him well...gah!
Hope this helped! :)

Date: 2007-06-07 05:59 pm (UTC)I think I'm going with silver nail polish. And I do walk the dog regularly and I have a tae bo dvd that I do, but I thought it would be fun to take a class with other humans for once. The dog looks at me funny when I'm kicking and punching. Bad dog. :P
Thanks for playing!

Date: 2007-06-07 02:36 am (UTC)2. Well, I knew a Brit who did. He also never pronounced his H's and used tons of funny vocabulary.
3. Flower vocabulary in English = one of my weaknesses.
4. Xena who?
5. Fun for the first hundred bubbles. Then unbearable.
6. Yeah, like that.
7. Black or red.
8. I vote for the long hot bath.
9. The satiny green one, no question about it.
10. Um. Fun?
no subject
Date: 2007-06-07 06:05 pm (UTC)Xena = warrior princess! (Don't tell me you've never heard of the tv show...?)
Satiny green... Will have to find something to wear it to. ;)

Date: 2007-06-07 02:43 am (UTC)1. Which word is sexier - "crotch" or "groin"?
I don't know why but I like "crotch". To me I think of more the lower abdomen when I hear groin. It seems more medical. Yet I think I used it in my recent story. Crotch seems dirtier I think.
2. Do Brits use the word "nads"?
Apparently not. Well not Australians anyway.
http://tinyurl.com/3ym6pp
3. I have fresh sweetpeas on my desk and I love them. Is there any better smelling flower on the planet? I vote no.
Mmmm. I have Bath & Body Work's Sweet Pea stuff. So clean and fresh smelling. I love smellie girlie things.
4. Why can't I find a Xena poster anywhere anymore? I *need* one.
*mind explodes remembering Xena and Gabrielle* What a great random need to bring up. That *would* be so very nice. *roawr*
5. Popping bubble wrap - "fun" or "like nails on a chalkboard"?
FUN for the popper, I don't know about the people in the room not popping though. :D
6. How do you pronounce yaoi? Yow-ie?
According to random Google search:
"If you pronouce yaoi right in Japanese, it would be: yah-aow-ee ..."
7. I should paint my toenails = chrome, black/silver, blue (light or dark), green (light or dark), purple, or red?
Oooh Chrome sounds very dangerous. I did Chrome once and it was hot. I sort of always get deep dark crimson red. Just because it's classic and it's so my style. I would not recommend green. I did army green once, and it looked great at first but after about a week it becan to look sort of...bad. And then I had to take it off and redo them because it looked like a fungus. So for longevity, don't get green. Unless it' like a minty green. That could be cool.
8. I am fat and out of shape. I should take: aikido, tai chi, kung fu, tae kwon do, karate, or a long hot bath and forget about it?
So am I, and I need to return to the gym that I'm still paying for every month. I wish we lived closer so we could go together. It helps when you have a buddy. Ahh, I just have to get the heck off my ass. !!
I took Aikido and I don't recall it being that physical, it's mostly about speed of reflexes and hitting the exact right spot at the right speed to kill someone. I have been wanting to take Tai Chi because I hear it's a better warm up if you're really out of shape...not *as* difficult...
9. I should buy the dress with the cherries or the satiny green dress?
jesus. That model is SO HOT. God look at her breasts! She looks so soft and sexy and quite inviting! I'll bet she tastes like cherries. Ohh ohh the dresses...I LOVE THAT SATIN GREEN ONE!!! It looks slippery. I love satin. Jesus her cleavage is .... wow.
I ADORE the pinup look. *ADORE*. *points to icon*
10. Pointless questionnaires that keep you from writing the, uh, "climax" of your current fic = "fun" or "work of the devil"?
Definitely a work of the devil. >:)
no subject
Date: 2007-06-07 06:08 pm (UTC)Maybe I will look into tai chi, too... I've taken a few one-hour drop-in classes and they were relaxing and nice but not exactly a workout at all.
Model - no kidding! She makes me swoon. *splat*

Date: 2007-06-07 03:52 am (UTC)2. Yes. At least my neighbour does. But she's been in Canada a while.
3. I'm not a scent fan. Whatever you like is best.
4. God is on the other side.
5. "fun"
6. Yow-ie. and if that's not the way, it should be.
7. chrome Ooh, shiny!
8. long hot bath and forget about it. And how dare you say you're out of shape - you have lots of yummy shape. Okay, tai chi. It's gentler than the others so you won't get so bruised. And Aikido is useless as a defensive art, or so my Dwarf claims. But he's into hardcore Judo, so what does he know? *babble babble about martial arts* Fuck that. Sit back and rent Romeo Must Die. Jet Li is cute as a button in that.
9. cherries Definitely.
10. "work of the devil" But I happen to be partial to the devil. Especially when he's played by Viggo Mortensen in The Prophecy.
*rubs nipples over Viggo's arm hair and purrs*
Anything else I can do to distract you, mistress? *slides motorcycle boots on and everything else off*
no subject
Date: 2007-06-07 06:13 pm (UTC)Chrome it is. I knew you'd like the shiny.
I will have to talk to your dwarf and childrens when I visit. Maybe they can help me figure out what I want.
*slides motorcycle boots on and everything else off*
Oh wait, I think *you* have figured out what I want pretty clearly.
One of these days you're just going to kill me, I swear. You are such a relentless tease.
That's ok though. I'm wearing garters and stockings and boots tonight. And nothing else.

Date: 2007-06-07 10:51 am (UTC)5 - so much fun. Bubble wrap rocks!
6 - I wouldn't know how to write how I would pronounce it.
7 - Red
8 - I'm a bit out of shape atm and I'm going to cling to pilates as a 'quick and easy solution that requires no effort what so ever' (let me just keep this belief for now!). It seems easier than your choices :P - apart from the bath of course, which is a tempting option!
9 - Cherries - because I'm not allowed to vote for the blue bubble gum dress!
10 - FUN
no subject
Date: 2007-06-07 06:18 pm (UTC)Blue bubblegum dress? Which one was that? I'd go for a blue dress in a heartbeat, probably.
Thank you for playing!

Chrome is the winner! And tai chi, so far. And baths. Yay baths!

Date: 2007-06-07 02:48 pm (UTC)1. Groin.
5. Much fun!
7. Green sounds summery.
8. Tae Kwon Do is not my friend. I'm going to do Taekgyeon this summer with my brother-in-law. It's a precursor to TKD and it's one of the "soft" martial arts. Seems almost Elvish to me. ;)
9. Green satiny one!!
10. I love questionnaires ... so probably, work of the devil. But they're fun for me.
*hugs*
no subject
Date: 2007-06-07 06:23 pm (UTC)I have not heard of taekgyeon before - can you describe it a little for me? "Elvish" sounds nice.
People seemt o be liking the green satiny one... I'll have to fond something to wear it for, though, since it's a little fancy.

Satiny green... And then when I come visit you, I'll be another one of billions of redheads in green! *giggles* I like that one best too though... Maybe I'll get both dresses...

Date: 2007-06-08 11:36 pm (UTC)4) Oh, Xena. How I miss you. At least I have my DVDs. Random fact: when my sweetie's mother redecorated her room after she left for college, she took down almost all of the teenage-girl-posters-and-assorted-stuff, but left a huge poster of Xena on the wall. My mother-in-law rocks.
5)Fun.
7) Purple. Or black/silver.
8) I really enjoyed Tae Kwon Do in high school. Punching and kicking things, and especially learning how to do it *well*, is just fun. I think it improved my confidence in general, because even though I drool over bad-ass chicks like crazy (hello, Xena), I'm not really one myself, and feeling truly bad-ass a few hours a week is great. Aikido is all about flipping and wrestling-type stuff, and Tai Chi I think is more about the motions than the fighting, so not as much fun to me personally. But I think the most important thing is to find a school that makes it fun - I visited an Aikido school where the instructor was all, "we are SERIOUS here, we do not PLAY at martial arts," and I was like, "but I WANT to play!" My TKD school had classes where kids and adults all practiced together and made it enjoyable.
9) Cherries. Yum.
