A. List seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself.
B. Tag seven people to do the same.
C. Do not tag the person who tagged you or say that you tag "whoever wants to do it".
1. All the books in my house are very strictly ordered. The living room contains nonfiction, which is all organized by LIbrary of Congress, including labeled shelves. The fiction is, however, sorted out and organized by author's last name. There are three "special collections" in other rooms - my wicca-related books, my husband's gaming books, and children's books. The two under my control are all alphabetized. When I loan out books (which I do quite readily), I write down who took what book and when, and I follow up within 6 months.
2. The only music I can have playing while I'm working at the computer is classical/new agey/meditative/without words. Words in a language I don't understand are sometimes ok. Words in English are totally distracting.
3. ...because I have sound-filtering problems. I can't tune out "background noise" like most people, and I get really overwhelmed in loud places/concerts/fairs, even driving in the car with the radio on and a conversation happening. Dripping rain keeps me awake, as do the dog's snores.
4. Despite being a massive food snob, I really strongly prefer milk chocolate to bitter- or semisweet.
5. My car's name is Sevvie. He likes to listen to Ozzy Osbourne and Iggy Pop and other 70s-type shouty boy music, rock or punk. I didn't intend for my car to have a personality, it just sort of happened. None of the other 3 cars I've regularly driven have even had names.
6. I haven't talked to or seen in the flesh 5 of the 6 step-siblings I grew up with (ages 9-18) since I left home for college in September 1991. I have 1 friend from high school I exchange xmas cards with, but no personal memos. I am not in touch with any of the people I worked with for 6 years, in a small office, after only 2 years of not working with them anymore. I am apparently quite all right with just letting people fade away from my life once we no longer have anything in common. Sometimes this makes me a little sad, but usually not. I have plenty of friends and I'm quite busy enough.
7. I love makeup, I love to dance, I love sexy lingerie (although I hate lace and flowery designs), my toenails are almost always polished, and I love having curly red hair. Yet I still think of myself as a bit of a tomboy and not a girlygirl at all. I *know* this will make
heartofslash laugh her ass off. ;)

Date: 2008-01-30 05:34 pm (UTC)I get distracted with any music, not because of any filtering problems (because I zone out the TV and radio just fine) but music just makes me want to listen to it. Even instrumental pieces, I sit there imagining the orchestra or picturing what the choreography would be.
