Ok, so lemme get this right - did *both* Jensen and Jared move to LA right after high school graduation and immediately land roles in Days and GG?

Like, how much time elapsed for Jared? Wasn't he just kind of a minor character on GG? What else did he do with his time?

It's not critical for my fic, but it would help me get a sense of what was going on, if it's easily-known fact. Otherwise I'll just make something up. ;)

Jensen did go to LA right after high school. Jared actually went to LA before he graduated from high school and started working on movies before getting his role on Gilmore Girls. Jensen had planned to attend Texas Tech University and study sports medicine, I believe.

Sports medicine - what a waste of so much prettiness. ;) I'm glad he decided not to follow that plan.

So precocious these two are. Didn't the read the rules about having to pay their dues?

I agree - it would've been a waste of pretty!
However, I think Jensen paid his dues, considering he was in a few eps of Sweet Valley High and Wishbone before he got to the soaps. Poor guy.

I know that Jared (according to what he says) got directed to the GG auditions in the first place by Freddie Prince Jr. (who meant something at the time, hah) after meeting him on the Teen Choice Awards which he got to present an award in because he won a nationwide competition or something.
Jensen did commercials and modelling from a very young age. I think his dad's also an actor. *shrugs*

Oh right, I forgot about the teen Choice Awards. Easy to do, since I don't really understand how they work or how he even ended up involved with them. But ok - he got some award thingy, met FPjr, and got the role on GG, and the rest was history.

It's kind of a weird coincidence that they both just slid into success so damned easily. Not like SUPERSTAR! level, but still.

Well, I don't know if getting a recurring role in "Days Of Our Lives" could be counted as professionaly success, really, though there are some people in fandom who would strongly disagree with me. :D But Jared certainly had unexpected success, since he got to be the official young dreamboat of GG for almost the entire series (I can't vouch for season 6 and 7 though, I refuse to watch them).
