And now for something interactive, from [livejournal.com profile] icarusancalion:

Ask me a question about one of my stories. It can be absolutely anything in ANY fic and I will tell you the honest-to-God answer. Don't hold back. Ask about posted fic, WIPs, series, or things I've only briefly mentioned, and I will do my best to answer. All my fic is here.

Go ahead - ask about character motivation, what happened after the fic ended, the boys' favorite color undies, first-times, what the break-up was like, who has the worst breath, why I stopped writing that fandom, if I'll ever write that sequel, what was going on in X's head during a certain scene, etc etc etc.

Please entertain me. :)

I love both of your Eric/Karl ficlets - "Disheveled" which always brings a smile to my face and "Denied" which is smoking hot, do you think you'll write more E/K?

Thank you! *smoocH*

Well, although I'm strong believer in "never say never", the two of them haven't been in movies that have reawoken my muses lately. So I'd have to say it's unlikely that I'd write any more E/K. I guess I'm just kind of fickle. Sorry. ;)

Soo... does this mean I can ask about the Life, Love and Leather series?

I remember reaching halfway through it when I first found your work, but then it disappeared :(

Ooohh... Now I feel like an ass x.x

So sorry about that, I have no idea how I thought you wrote it :S
All I knew is that I couldn't find the site on my bookmarks anymore, and-

Yeah, I'm just going to quietly sit in my corner and keep on lurking -_-;;

Nonono - I'm sorry if that came across as bitchy. I mix up authors and titles all the time myself. No feeling bad, please. :)

Haha, no worries. I was more embarrassed than anything, really. I'm sorry I made you think you sounded bitchy :)

I would love to know Viggo's thoughts from any part of Educational Endeavors. Perhaps when he decided he felt more for Orlando than just lust. That series is one of my favorite stories in all Viggorli-dom. :-)

Aw! I'm so flattered! :)

It's difficult for me to get back into that character's brain since it's such an old story, but Viggo always felt more than lust - even more than lust-and-friendship - from the very beginning.

Viggo looked at him for a long moment. "Because you fascinate me. You are never just one thing; you are always also it's opposite. Fair and dark, hyperkenetic and still, arrogant and insecure. Slutty and virginal," he added with a grin. (part 2)

And here is where his feelings definitely show up as romantic:

"Heaven. Want you inside forever," Orlando mumbled.

He fell asleep without hearing Viggo's murmur of agreement. They slept wrapped around each other until dawn.

What did Ianto do when he went home at the end of Proper after Jack had left him with the plug still inplace?

Ianto made himself a nice, balanced dinner, ate it slowly and without squirming on his hard wooden chair. After dinner, he ironed a shirt for tomorrow. Polished his shoes. Tidied up his house.

Around 9:30 he carefully removed the plug, washed it in the bathroom sink, and kept his arsehole clenched so Jack's come wouldn't dribble out. He was mostly successful, just a tiny trickle winding down his inner thigh, and relaxed his muscles only once he was in the shower. The warm, sticky wetness he expelled was such a filthy turn-on that he couldn't stop himself from having a wank there in the shower. His memory of their after-work fuck was almost as arousing as the fuck itself, and he nearly blacked out when he came all over the tiles.

Ianto finished washing, rinsed down the shower stall, and was in bed reading a novel by 10:45. He set the alarm for 5:00 and turned out the light at 11:30, eager to find out what variation on their games Jack would come up with for tomorrow.

well, it's sunday now, but here's my question if you're still up for it.

when you write with [livejournal.com profile] heartofslash, who's the brains and who's the details person? can you tell me about your repsective roles, say in your ewan/eric series? i know its not a specific fic but if you could answer, it would satisfy some curiosity.

I'm always up for it. *leer*

Hm. When Haleth and I write "together", we really don't collaborate as much as you'd think. We mostly emailed about who-does-what - "You do the medical kink one, I'll do locked-up after it." Sometimes we'd talk just a little about plot-arc, but we always wrote totally separately. We would send each other fairly finalized drafts for beta and approval (meaning "did I do anything here you vastly disagree with? did i put words in eric's mouth you don't think he'd say, since he's 'your' boy?"

So we were both the brains and the details, and we really worked pretty independently. it seems like that was an unusual way to "co-write", but it worked incredibly well for us, kept things fresh, meant we worked at our own speed for the actual creation/writing process.

I've done chat-writing with other authors before, and that's ok, but there was something fresher about the alternating POV and surprises/challenges. I'm not sure it would work for a novel, with the disconnected narrator voices, but it was a great exercise.

that sounds really cool. i didn't really even "get" that it was you writing, or her writing, and not both of you. it would be more difficult to keep the characterizations than say, if you were rpg-ing or doing a few paragraphs at a time, which is my experience thus far with co-writing.

you both have such 'a style.' you know what i mean? they're different, of course, but the two of you each have that certain 'something' that personifies high-quality fiction. plus, attitude. it's no wonder that you did so well as a team.

*smooch* Thanks for the compliments. :) I was relaly pleased with how the fic turned out - I honestly think some chapters are some of my best writing.

I forgot until I reread my reply that we *did* hash out a lot of details in the beginning and mid-way. What the setting was, that they were both unmarried/no kids, that they're both switch. That sometimes they'd have bad sex. That they'd fall in love but in a manly way, over time, and there wouldn't be any overt declarations.

And there were a few delicious and difficult challenges - I remember writing one kinky bondage piece and when Haleth wrote hers after it, Eric was pissed at how far Ewan had gone. Ewan (and I) had loved it and thought everything was great, so it was interesting to have to deal with the miscommunication. Just like real life. :)

mostly we just divided up who would do which kinks and let each other go where we wanted. Every 4-6 stories, we'd check in and see if we were having a plot-arc and if we were on target for it. And of course we hashed out the ending in advance, and that was the only chapter we co-wrote. still, we came up with a plot outline, then she wrote the parts from Eric's POV, and I filled in Ewan's.

It wasn't co-writing like I've ever done before and it worked about a bazillion times better than any other co-writing I've ever done.

thanks for the long and thoughtful reply, as i didn't say that before.

i read almost all of the arc, might have missed a few in the middle who knows, i tend to "do lj" in fits and starts. it does sound a lot like i remember it, reading it vs. how you say you felt writing it. "having an arc" - that's a good one.

having the characters do things in a "rl" way works best for me too (other than an impossible quantity of sex of course!), and it keeps my attention. there's nothing like too much perfection to dull the edge and put you to sleep. i think i remember ewan getting out of hand... can so see that happening.
