1) Knowledge - Knowledge is not wisdom or I'd be a lot more wise. I do know lots of things, though, and I have a (possibly unfounded) great deal of respect for other people who know lots of things, in whatever subject, even the ones I think are silly. Sometimes the breadth of my knowledge surprises me and yet at other times I can't even remember simple math or where Penang is. Knowledge is not everything - it's what you do with it.

2) Temptation! - Not only can I not resist temptation, I rarely even bother trying. Life is meant to be enjoyed. That said, I do love a good tease and being tempted with something (or someones) you can't have can be fun in small doses. ;)

3) Writing - Good writing can make me swoon. I was first attracted to my husband because of his writing and I've had more crushes on people because of their writing than I can count. I love words, playing with them, examining their roots and shades of meaning. I love telling myself stories and am thrilled that some of you like them, too. I wanted to be a writer ever since before I could read. It's wonderful to be able to think of myself as one, finally.

4) Beginnings - Just start. It doesn't matter what you do; almost everything can be undone. you *do* get do-overs in real life. So just get to it, stop worrying about making mistakes, and jump in. (This is what I try to tell myself every morning.)

5) Pretties - What's prettier than the human form? Boys, girls - either one. I do love nature too, though. I think it's a true gift that I see so much beauty in the world around me. I honestly believe that life is beautiful and you should let it awe you every day, whether it's in the curve of your lips, the wet leaves of a tree, or the shape of nude men someone has generously posted to LJ. I will make an effort to share more pretties with you all.
