update and LOTR meme

These have been some of the most wretched 7 days of my life, including a funeral, my stepfather, massive blowout with my husband, losing about half of the work I'd done on EE4 from my own stupidity, getting a speeding ticket (first ever, in 15 years of driving), and going through a warehouse of all of my deceased great-aunt's belongings.

It was also the first week of classes, which all look like a ton of work and I'm actually going to drop one, because I just can't fucking cope.

So today I should do homework, but instead I'm reading smut and trying to recreate EE4.

But first LOTR meme gacked from lennongirl and loony_moony:

1. Elijah's eyes or Billy's eyes: Hm... I'm going to have to go with Elijah, even if they are supernaturally spooky blue eyes. I've always been a sucker for guys with dark hair and light eyes. ;)

2. Dom or Billy: Billy. Accent. *die* No, really, Dom looks a bit too stuck on himself. Billy looks like fun, if not perhaps quite as conventionally sexy.

3. Viggo orAND Orlando: Yes, please.

4. Elijah or Sean Astin: Elijah, hands down. Sean Astin is just too Hobbity.

5. Dom's smile or Billy's smile: Billy, I think. His smiles seem more genuine. He seems less aware of the publicity around him, happier and more sincere in general.

6. Frodo & Sam or Merry & Pippin: Definitely Merry and Pippin, as they clearly know that food and drugs are key to a good party.

7. Legolas or Aragorn: Hm. Simply based on the visual appearance of either in the movie... Give me a sweaty, unwashed greasy Ranger any day. *lick* (Plus, lostiawen and I have soap for just such cases. ;) )

8. FOTR, TTT or ROTK (movie): TTT, I think. Ents and Rohirrim and Karl (although blond - ick) and split-personality Gollum and orc-hunting Aragorn and "You're late" and smirking Legolas and battle at Helm's Deep and Theoden and Eowyn and and and and YUM.

9. FOTR, TTT or ROTK (book): Blech. I dunno. The books are so bloody SLOW. Perhaps the first one, because of all the lovely descriptions of things, the fairytale-background construction. I really can't remember the books so well, as I haven't read them in about a decade.

10. Hobbit feet or elf ears: Elf ears because they are good for plot bunnies. Hairy feet just aren't funny OR sexy.

11. Elves, hobbits, or dwarves: Elves. At least they don't have unwanted body hair.

12. Rivendell, Mirkwood or Lothlorien: Everyone in Lothlorien seems to have a stick up their ass, so no on that. Thanks to for the reminder that Mirkwood has spiders. *shiver* So I guess Rivendell, which seems ok, if a bit overdone with all the airy Celticy designs. Plus, Rivendell elves have dark hair. Yummy.

13. Gandalf or Saruman: Gandalf, duh. Saruman has pointy fingernails, and you know how much those hurt on tender pink parts. *cringe* ;)

14. Arwen, Galadriel, Rosie, or Eowyn: Eowyn "I am no man", of course. (Yeah, I probably mangled that quote, but I can't possibly be bothered to go look it up.) She kicks so much ass. And now, thanks to her massive ass-kicking, my friend is teaching me to fight with a sword. (Not fencing, really, because it's a different kind of sword.)

15. Nazgul or the Ents: Ents! Yummy tree-y goodness!!!!

16. Into The West, May It Be, or Steward of Gondor: I honestly can't recall the first two, and I assume the last is the heartbreaking song Pippin sings, which I loved, so I'll go with Steward of Gondor

17. Gollum or Grima: Gollum. At least he's funny, and I understand the evil-voice-within problem all too well. Grimma just fucking creeps me out, the little rapist-wannabe. Icko.

18. King Theoden or Denethor: King Theoden, hands down. I'd swear him allegiance and follow him to a heroic death any day.

19. Minas Tirith or Minas Morgul: Minas Tirith because Minas Morgul looks too sharp. All rough pointy edges and nightmarish. MT looks like a bitch of a city to try to get around in, though.

20. FOTR commentary or TTT commentary: I've only listened to each one once. Dunno. I recall FOTR being more funny, but TTT has a few bits of Viggo. (I think I'm lumping all the extras in together. Sorry; just can't recall.)

21. Elijah's butt or Dom's butt: Eeek! I don't think I've seen either. But, *blush* I confess I was kind of looking forward to bound and helpless Frodobutt in ROTK, so I guess Elijah. *hopeless perv*

22. Haldir or Elrond: Um. Must I accept either? Neither one of them does a thing for me at all.

23. Eomer or Faramir: Hm. Eomer is too blond and bulky muscely. Faramir looks a lot like my stepbrother, and I don't need any more weird sexual feelings going that way, now that I'm past age 15, thankyouverymuch. (Sorry - was that TMI? ;) ) I guess Eomer, even with the bad hair and mustache, because I'd rather have Karl in my bed than David. Tough call, though.

24. Gondor or Rohan: Rohan. Rohan Rohan Rohan. I'm not actually very into horses, but I'm so into the style and art and yummy celticy/germanic/norse goodness. God, it was like a wet dream come true for me, in my ex-persona as a medieval Scandinavian history major.

25. Aragorn & Arwen or Eowyn & Faramir: I suppose Eowyn and Faramir, since theirs isn't such an over-wrought love story.
