Good Things:
1) Just planted 2 lbs of bulbs - tulips, daffodils, crocus, and hyacinth-somethings. The first two in a trench, the others in pots. It's an experiment to see if the gophers eat them all. I used to love gardening. Then we bought this house (8 years ago in January) and everything I loved died due to sand, heat, gophers, and deer. Finally, I am trying again.
2) Did I mentioned I finally got a PT job? I was afraid to say anyhting at first in case I hated it, but it's working out ok. Money = good.
3) Weight loss = very slow (3 lbs/month) but at least I'm not gaining. And I'm actually looking forward to doing my belly dance dvds, since I re-found them last week.
4) The new routine is difficult, but I think once I finally adjust, it will be good. Having to be dressed and interact with people on a regular basis means I can't fiddle around and procrastinate.
4a) In the last two weeks, I've finished another two chapters on the novel. Ten down, twenty-six to go! My goal is one per week, minimum. And yes, this is the Jensen-graduate-student story.
5) Never underestimate the joy of being able to breathe through both nostrils. I don't think I've ever had a cold that was that bad for six days in a row. Blech.
6) It's soup season! And flannel sheets! And cuddling with the boy and beast! Yay!
7) Why yes, I *am* feeling a bit Pollyannaish. Life is good. :)

Speaking of soup, hubby fixed Mexican Soup for us today. It's overcast and drizzly here today, and it hit the spot!
I can't wait to read your newest offering! You know I'll read anything Jensen-related!
