Last night I read a cute gen story about Teyla making a mismatched, misshapen patchwork afghan with squares contributed by everyone on Atlantis. (Piece by Piece, by Friendshipper)

So now, of course, I want one. Just need to figure out if others would be interested in helping with the project and how to coordinate a crocketed-or-knitted-blocks exchange.

It must be spring. Because I also want to:

1) paint the kitchen fun colors

2) plan the goddamned landscaping (what? it's only been 8 years)

3) scrub every inch of the house, including washing the carpets and caulking the windows

4) plan out my summer trips

5) FINISH MY NOVEL

6) have tons of exciting sex - maybe with more than just my husband!

7) body painitng art project

8) fix the clothing that needs alterations

9) plan a Victorian Underwear Lesbian Croquet tournament at the courthouse for Pride Day

10) make a "girly stuff" Rube Goldberg device (makeup, tampons, dildos, etc) and videotape it and set it to the song "I enjoy being a girl"

11) make the *9* fabric quilts I owe people from xmas 2009

12 )start belly dance classes again

13) fix the Wanton Hussy website

14) start up the monthly WH newsletters again

15) host a witch's/crone's tea party (hats required)

And I'm sure there's a few other projects I'm forgetting...

Why yes, I do seem to have contracted a terminal case of Bright Shiny Object Syndrome.

You are too fucking awesome. I want in on half these things. And I want to watch the other half!

I will totally knit you squares for an afghan.

my spring project is a bit different - if all goes well (and there is minor surgery involved in this) I have rescued a bunny.

The pet store owner was going to feed him to a very large snake. Instead, we've spent untold $$ at the emergency clinic, and will take him to a specialist this week to have a dental abscess removed. If the surgery goes well, we will be the proud rescuers of a 4 month old super soft brown lion head bunny.

The daughter has already named him.

She has named him "Chuck Norris".

I am pathetically in love with the little guy, and I hope hope hope all goes well. (So far, he's eating and drinking and alert, and he took all his antibiotics willingly because I cleverly mixed them with honey.)

The daughter says it's great for our karma, to rescue a bunny rabbit on Easter weekend. I'm a little in shock. OMG. Another pet...

It is definitely spring! I share in the thought of doing a handful of those... some which I already started this morning! (The landscaping, in case you're curious.)

Prologue: I'll knit a block iffins ya want!

6: That's not fair to tempt.

9: TOTALLY wish I could be there!

10: I love that song.

I will do you some squares. Although I should perhaps warn you that I tend to be ridiculously pastelly when it comes to wool. (I don't know where it comes from I really don't!)

Any preferences?
Any approximate sizes?

"scrub every inch of the house, including washing the carpets and caulking the windows" *grin* Yes, I can identify with that!

Good luck with your list!

If you lived here, you would be in on ALL of them. :) (Especially #6.) I will get to the afghan thing and figure out how to coordinate it as soon as I had off the goddamnedmotherfuckinghorribletimesuckingvampireish anthology.

BUNNY! I bet Andi will have lots of helpful tips and advice. She's such a good bun mum. Yay!

Not the Victorian Underwear Lesbian Croquet tournament? I'm so disappointed in you. ;)

Yay for knitting friends! As soon as I finish the anthology, I'll figure out how to coordinate this. #6 is an OFFER, not a TEASE. Maybe if you come to CA in time for Pride week, you can participate in #9. ;)

Yay for squares! As soon as I finish the anthology, I'll figure out how to coordinate this. Maybe everyone can have an ugly mismatched afghan. Or just contribute, if they don't want some monstrosity in their house. Whee!

Thanks! As soon as I finish the anthology, I'll figure out how to coordinate the blanket project. I'll be sure to post and see who wants to participate. :)

Yeah, I was considering that, but then I realized I didn't have any other women to play with... technically speaking. :P

Bunny Fail

From: [identity profile] heartofslash.livejournal.com
It was not a successful rescue. He was not treatable. And it's not only a budget issue. Even with expenditures of over 2,500, there was still less than a 50% chance of him surviving, let alone living without pain. Mandibular abscess. Brutal. Poor little pookums. He was charming and affectionate and adorable in spite of it. But he's gone now. Sigh and sniff.

(Actually, waterworks - the daughter and I were bawling our eyes out at the vet.)

There will be another bunny, though. You can bet on that.

Sadly, the croquet is more of a pipe dream, sine there is only a few onths to plan, but maybe I'll make it happen next year.

I'll post pics of whaetver wacky fun I get up to, though. ;)
