TY and new friends and life

1) Just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone for the birthday wishes. I have utterly sucked at birthdays online and stopped even trying to keep up, but please know that I do most sincerely appreciate the posts, comments, messages, and cards.

You guys are awesome. I feel very loved. :)

2) New friends! Lots of people have been friending me lately - not sure if it's the result of finishing Relationships 201 or writing new Inception fic or what. Anyway, welcome! I suppose I could do an introductory meme - how about the good old standby interview:

The problem with LJ: We all think we are so close, but really we know nothing about one another. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

New friends, old friends - everyone. Go ahead, ask me anything. I'm an open book. :)

3) Lately I've been a lot of posting porn, and pretties, and CUMFL humor, and fics - but not much RL content. Life is good. Working for Dreamspinner is awesome. I'm scribbling a little in Inception fandom, playing with the shiny new boys. Husband, dog, hours, RL friends, and family stuff is fine. No news is good news, right?

I do admit that this last birthday made me feel a little "old" - I can see 40 from here. But although I wish I was more secure financially, I'm grateful for what I have. In all other areas, I have achieved what I want or am working toward it. Last night an older - and far wiser - friend pointed out that maybe I wasn't so much feeling "old" as I was feeling "tired" or "bored" -- but mostly feeling "in-between projects."

So now I'm working on just being okay with being "in-between". I have things I want to do, and I'll get to them, but there's no rush. I've got at least another 40 years to go. ;)
