Love and admiration for
sarka:
I'm sorry you've been so frantically busy for the last few months and I never see you on LJ anymore. I'm -still- trying to get over my "how cool is it that you're from Iceland?!?! *squeak*fangirl*" stage. *blush*
I've been honored to beta for you, and have been quite intrigued by the stories you've told, your approach to the characters. Without you I would never have read any Orlijah slash, and I really liked some of your recommendations.
I still feel like I don't know you very well personally, but what I do know is that you're witty and intelligent, and a very talented writer with a knack for creating a mood. I still want to read your saga! Please?
Regardless, *smooches* and well wishes, and hopes for more writing of whatever flavor from you in the coming year!

Date: 2004-12-28 06:52 pm (UTC)I haven't logged into this account in AGES, because first I was franctically busy to make everything ready so that I could leave the worksite where I'm an Admin Assistant for my Christmas Holiday without the whole place going sideways.
Then I went to Prague (where I actually was when you wrote this) and I was there for five days and I only went online now... and then it was Christmas and while Christmas Eve (which is the big day in Iceland) was nice, in the three days since then, my life has turned upside down, and I don't mean that in the best way.
However, I now suddenly have some spare time to write! Rejoice!
Thank you for all the nice things you said. I don't update this journal very often, but considering how many RL people are watching my other journal, maybe I should... I'm still really flattered when someone calls me a talented writer, because there's this far fetched dream about living off my writing. (Oh, what I wouldn't do for an Original Plotbunny.)
Since I sent you the saga, which, btw, is going a mile-a-minute in my head but nowhere on paper, I finished a short HP piece, for which I need a beta, but I seem to recall you saying something about not wanting to read character death, and this one has layers of angst and agony and two character deaths in it, so it's your call entirely - I am sure I can find someone else, if you don't like such things. Or maybe I am just confused and you really like angst :s
However, I expect to churn out at least a few pages of the saga before the end of this week, so watch your inbox... and if you don't have time to beta it, don't worry. Just read it and tell me what you think :D
Merry Christmas, and I hope you'll have a happy new year - and I hope I'll have a bit less busy year, so that I will have time to read what I haven't of Educational Endeavors... :D

Date: 2004-12-30 01:18 am (UTC)Yay! I'm glad you have some writing time! I'm sure original plotbuns will start to attack you if you get in the writing habit... I've had a few ideas that were so AU that I think they're not even fanfic anymore. :)
I'm SO looking forward to the saga! No, I don't read character death fics, unless it is just mentioned as an aside ("...after Sirius died, Remus followed a few months later..." sort of thing). I find that it really upsets me a lot; I'm sorry.
