salixbabylonAnd by the way, another duh – we are back from the trip. It was kind of a bust, but we enjoyed the aquarium , which had a new penguin exhibit, and Hearst Castle , which we hadn't been to in about 15 years. The B&Bs were ok, but I'll happily avoid antique stores until Xmas shopping season begins. Scored a new china cup-and-saucer though, and some tea spoons. Stuck my head in every tea shop and British imports store – still no treacle. Fuckers.
Cut the trip short by a day since we weren't into one more day of aimless wondering; it seems we are not yet old enough to have fun doing nothing. OTOH, we still find each other funny as hell and had several humorous conversations and laughed a lot. Sometimes I get absurdly sappy and think that I truly did find my soul-mate at the ridiculously young age of 20, and thank the gods that I held onto him, even if I thought at the time that I was looking for a her instead.
And today's self-amusement is that I have sparkly rhinestones on my toes from my pedicure and my hair in braids with sparkly purple clips and escaping boingy curls and I AM NEVER GROWING UP

Even tired and grouchy and not having gotten anything done nor knowing what the future will hold... I like being almost-30.
Tomorrow: Beta-ing, SB/RL FQF challenge decision, and more werewolf research...
