First, let me just note how blown away I am by all the comments on "The Right Fit". Thank you all so much for reading and commenting. I apologize that I'm slow in replying, but I'm still pretty sick.
On the plus side, I dragged myself back to the doctor, who said I had the worst sinus infection he's seen in a while, and now I'm on antibiotics and hoping to be feeling better in 24-48 hours. Blech.
And is it just me or does $316 for a flight from San Jose, CA to Atlanta, GA in July with a *5 hour* stopover in Denver seem like an excessive amount? That's more than my last flight to Paris cost... WTF? Anyone? Are all domestic flights this much? I tried Orbitz, Travelocity, and Priceline and that's the best I could find...
LJ/GeoCities/PhotoBucket/unix is pissing me off. My lovely collage I made in Photoshop(PS), without knowing how to use PS at all, refused to be accepted by PhotoBucket(PB) without resizing it. This resulted in LJ tiling it, which didn't work. So I put it up at GeoCities after trying about 6 times to change the size into something PB would like. Dandy - GeoCities worked fine. Except today I go to upload "The Right Fit" to my website and I can't access any of the pages because my site is getting too much traffic, as a direct result of the lj collage being hosted there.
So then I thought, well, I have a unix account that I get my real-non-slash mail at, and I've been meaning to try and set up a webpage and gallery there... why don't I set up the gallery at least and throw the image up in there? Well, because unix hates me. I cut and pasted the fucking commands and some of them worked, and then I got error messages, and can't access the file and ARGH. So my lovely husband offers to put the picture up on his website. Except that when we try that, I get an "invalid image" message when I try to upload it.
I hate computers. They hate me. It's mutual. Bastards. DIE DIE DIE.
Tomorrow, when I have a brain, I will tackle the problem again. But if anyone has any suggestions for places other than GeoCities for hosting web pages, I'm thinking maybe I should move from there... Anyone have any thoughts?
