another wave of inspiration

So, last year niennas_dreams's Oceans Take Our Secrets inspired me to make a painting.

Today, chaosmanor's Guerdon has inspired me to want to eat only organic home-made food, and to bake bread for the first time in about... 5 years. (Well, except for Lammas. I always make a loaf for Lammas.)

I love it when slash inspires me to actually DO something! :)

(Well, ok, slash *frequently* inspires me to do *some* things, but those are usually TMI to post about. *g*)

Guerdon is making me do the same thing.

I made gorgeous thick soup last night, with homemade bread. The soup was full of veges and barley and bacon, thick and wholesome.

My ex-wife wolfed down a huge bowl and scoffed her share of the bread. My Youngest Son peered into the saucepan and said, "Yuck, I'm not eating that." stephen_dedman said, "It's alright, but it isn't very tasty."

My oldest son has just come to visit and is devouring the left overs for lunch.

Honestly, you can't please some people.

Mmm, sounds yummy to me. I love soup and that sounds like a delicious one for autumn/winter.

It's spring here - maybe I'll make spinach soup to go with the bread. :)
