for [livejournal.com profile] bloominbabylon:

BanaBloom:

His hands are so huge, it feels like he could crush me with a careless gesture. Power, coiled in those bronzed muscles, courting danger.

I'm not going to get hurt, of course. Eric's always graceful, careful, kind. Aware of himself, of the space he fills, of his physical advantage. Full of restraint.

The way he touches me is frustratingly reverent, as if I were a fragile thing. I have to get him drunk before he'll ravage me the way I want, biting, squeezing, bruising me with those huge hands.

I want his marks on my body. I'm the dangerous one.

VigOrli:

Sometimes I wish I could freeze him, capture him in crystal, save him away forever. Just to have him be still for one moment when I could look at him when he's not asleep. Take in the color of his eyes, the texture of his skin, the small flaws in his face. The strength of his muscles, the tendons in his arms, the scar on his spine. All the bits and parts that make up Orlando.

Film is the best I can do and even that fails. He is nothing without movement, without life. Beauty frozen; appreciated, maybe, but dead.

Aragorn/Legolas:

The weight of time has barely brushed me in the last three thousand years, yet I know that I will always feel I did not have enough time with him. The Halls of Mandos will drive me mad with their silence when his footsteps fail to echo. I cannot leave these shores; I cannot leave him. I have heard the cry of the gulls and stopped my ears. If we survive this darkness, if the Enemy does not destroy us all, I will tell him.

We will never have enough time, but I will not squander what little we have.

Paris/Hector:

My big brother Hector thinks this war is going to be difficult to win. He has no faith in deities, only in men. He will not honor the gods unless Father demands it, and he refuses to make offerings to the goddesses.

He is the grown up one, with wife and child. Finished dabbling with boys, settled down to the serious business of defending Troy. For me, though, he bends over, moaning in heat. All it takes is a certain look and he comes running, full of guilt, shame, and lust.

See how much it pays to honor the goddesses?

Excellent writing exercise - if anyone else wants one, it's not too late!

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed them, and I appreciate the feedback. I've never really thought of myself as writing multi-fandom fics, but I guess I have. It just tends to be one obsession at a time, I suppose. Serial slasher. ;)

I will write you something Billy/Bean if you'll tell me who you are. ;)

No problem - and I'm running a little behind, but I hope to get them all finished by next week. :)

There you go - sorry it took me a while. And then as I was writing the drabble, I remembered I never did the first part, my opinion on the pairing.

Frankly, this was a lot harder than I thought – I love Billy, but just couldn't get any kind of take on him with Bean, or Bean interested in him at all. It was quite a challenge to get any sort of idea – even for 100 words! Thanks though; it was fun!

I am *so* the Viggorli girl, but my favorite of these is your Paris/Hector drabble. That last line just sums up Paris's character perfectly.

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it; the Paris one is my favorite of the bunch, too. I've never written drabbles before and this has been a really challenging exercise. :)

I loved those drabbles! Especially BanaBloom.
How about a Balian one. Any pairing. Please?

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked them -- I've never really written drabbles before, so it's been an interesting challenge. :)

Balian - ok by me, but you have to give me the other half of the pairing, please. Then I'll give you my opinions and then a drabble!

Hmmm....Balian and Godfrey then. I'll go for the incest angle. *snicker*

All right then...

Opinion:

Balian and Godfrey - I did only see the movie once, but the interactions between these two were so interesting that I've been avidly reading Orlando/Liam when I've found it. Back to the FPS, though, it is intriguing. I mean, Godfrey says they're father/son, but can't actually prove it, and Balian seems very skeptical and only goes along with him because he needs to get away. The whole incest thing is rather Oedipus-like -- they don't know they're related, they don't have a paternal/filial relationship, or any history together at all, so it's all a bit sketchy whether having sex would be incest in any way other than technically. (Yeah, I'm trying to get around a thing that usually squicks me, because I like this pairing so much.)

I may be reaching, but I think sex between them would be totally devoid of any of the usual incest elements... I see Godfrey being a bit hesitant because he's trying to save his soul, and Balian having more of a "whatever happens, happens" attitude. I'm not sure who would initiate things, but wouldn't it be delicious if Balian got to top? ;)

Drabble in a few days - RL is making this take more time than I had intended.

Salix, I happened to be making my now-only-weekly flist visit and came across your drabbles.

These are absolutely exquisite, lovely and profound in many ways - there's also a lyricism to them that I adore; they're like poetry. Really, these are perfect examples of what the drabble art form is supposed to be *g*

And of course the Aragorn/Legolas is my favorite ;) Please come post it at LAS?! *bats eyes, wiggles bottom, and otherwise whores self*

Awww... Thank you so much! I'm all blushing and gooey inside now. :) I'm so glad you liked them - even more so since I've never tried drabbles before now.

And I'm flattered that you'd like me to post the A/L one - will try to do so in the next few days -- thank you!

I confess that I am confused -- is ALSlashArchive the same as posting to Legolas_Aragorn_Slash? I posted to the first one because it looked like an archive, but now I'm not sure that was right...?

From: [identity profile] miladyhawke.livejournal.com
You're close! ;) You're right that ALSlashArchive is a companion to Legolas_Aragorn_Slash, but the problem with only posting there is that you aren't likely to get much in the way of feedback (unless a few kind souls actually take the time to write you personally), since that's a fic-only list, kind of like LXF used to be before it died. All the actual feedback happens at Legolas_Aragorn_Slash, and that's a *much* larger list, so you're likely to get a decent response there if you post at that place ;) I'm telling you, they'll love it *G*

One kind soul did make the effort but thank you for the pointers and I have no posted it to both locations. :) I'm so flattered that you liked my little drabble enough to ask me to share it - thank you! *hug*

You've totally made my day.

This "I want his marks on my body. I'm the dangerous one." laid me out though...but that's ok...my ceiling is pretty nice to look at, and the cat is an ok pillow...

(a reader who comments on everything - oh, how you have made my day!)

I'm so glad you liked Hector/Paris -- that one was my favorite of this batch, too. Fun to think of Paris as slightly wicked. ;)
