I've been so unbelievably prolific and industrious for the last week. Not with work or housecleaning or anything trivial like that, but with writing and editing and making web pages!

I finished my stories #1 and #2 for the SS FQF and sent them off for betaing, and signed up for and got my words for story #3. I've decided how to suitably twist a Christian no-sex-until-marriage slogan into something that I can make graphically sexual because I'm a heretic. And because I'm annoyed with the other two stories for not having anything smutty in them; the boys kept insisting on fading to black as things got steamy. Prudes.

To get in the mood for writing my #2 story for the fest, I listened to old Erasure albums and now I can't get happy-queer-80s-techno-pop out of my head. Need to hose out my brain. *g*

Figured out how to make a new icon, which deeply amuses me. Have text-only but satisfactory web pages. Am overall doing well.

Very satisfied to have the concept outlined for #3 story and feel good about it – going to go with the card-game plotbunny from Sunday, and can work in that no-sex slogan quite easily. Most convenient.

I'm afraid I have completely overwhelmed my two lovely betas, [livejournal.com profile] amariel and [livejournal.com profile] olivia_lupin - I promise I'm finished writing for a long while now, several months at least! And if it's too much, really, I will completely understand. Some people on the SS FQF list have also offered betaing services, so I can ask them. I know you both have actual Real Lives (as well as your own writing projects), and am grateful for all the work you've done so far, keeping up with me! And if I have somehow NOT overwhelmed you, then you are my heroes forever and I'd offer you my firstborn if I had one. (Maybe a puppy instead? *g*)

Recently finished reading two long fics:

Thing by Cimorene and Wax Jism – Remus/Sirius
My Summary: What happens when Sirius goes to "lie low at Lupin's" and what their history together really was.
My Thoughts: The characters are complex and confused, intricate. Layered with memories, with history; interwoven in the same way that people really are. (My brain got a little muddled sometimes about which timestream we were in, but sometimes that happens in RL, too.)
Rating: It's listed as NC-17, but I'd give it R

Rat's Alley by Fabula Rasa - Severus/Sirius
Summary: Snape has a dark secret that Sirius discovers,a secret that threatens to undo them all.
My Thoughts: I just liked how it was handled, overall, and the humor was right up my alley. At risk of spoiling things, the last scene in the Epilogue features a pairing I would never read in any circumstances as a stand-alone, but was deeply, -deeply- amused and thought it was just fantastic.
Rating: NC-17
