icon question again

OK, I know I should now this by now but I always get confused and I thought it was better to look like a dweeb and ask then to fuck up.

- Icons are finished. No adding text, please.
- Bases you can add text to and the creator won't get pissed at you.

Is this correct? I want an icon and I know what I want it to say, but I suck at cropping and textures confuse me and yeah, I'm just basically inept when it comes to graphic art.

So do I have it right, about bases and icons, above?
And does anyone have idea for where I could fine some J2 bases?

I usually get my stuff from different LJ comms (or I make them myself). This group has alot of different recs - fics, pics, etc - http://community.livejournal.com/spnnewsletter/. This group, http://community.livejournal.com/supernatural_tv/, has alot of info about the show/actors and occasionally has links to icons and stuff.
If there's a particular pic you want made into an icon, gimme a link and I can make one for ya. And yes, you're right about the difference between icons and bases.

OK, I found the picture, but lisagems also offered and I dunno which of you has mroe free time/likes doing these things most.

Lemme tell you what I want and then I'll see what you both say:

1. This pic: (http://pics.livejournal.com/salixbabylon/pic/000a8716/g32)

2. Maybe a band/stripe of grey or grey-tone at the bottom of the icon for text contrast

3. Words: "too pretty to be allowed". Or, possibly, "pretty overdose". Whichever looks best. Lowercase, maybe script, like Lucinda Handwriting or something. Color = whatever.

Is that too complicated?

Yupyup. :) As for where you can find bases.. Try basicbases, or do a J2/SPN interest search, and find icon comms there, some of them are bound to have bases, too.
