Let's see how many people can do this. Every day this month until Thanksgiving, think of one thing that you are thankful for and post it as your status. "Today I am thankful for..." The longer you do it, the harder it gets! Now, if you think you can do it, then repost this message as your status to invite others to take the challenge, then post what YOU are thankful for today.

Day 5 - Today I am thankful for my home. I am thankful that we bought a house when we did, and that we had the money to do so, a combination of luck, savings, and inherited money. I am thankful to have a place surrounded by natural beauty, filled with objects toys and tools that I find pleasing. I am thankful for the shelter and security my home provides, physically and emotionally.

Home is such an important thing in the world - both as a place and as a concept. I think the security it provides cannot be underappreciated.

I agree. It's been a thing I really value as an adult.

Sweet post. I take my house so for granted, and this reminded me that lots of people don't have that.

When I was a kid, I never did have a palce I felt secure in. It's been good to have it as an adult.
