Thankful meme - Day 9

Let's see how many people can do this. Every day this month until Thanksgiving, think of one thing that you are thankful for and post it as your status. "Today I am thankful for..." The longer you do it, the harder it gets! Now, if you think you can do it, then repost this message as your status to invite others to take the challenge, then post what YOU are thankful for today.

Day 9 - Today I am thankful for health care. Yes, there are screaming flaws and it's an unconscionable travesty that poor and sick people cannot get medical help in this country. It makes me all the more glad for my insurance and all the doctors and medical professionals who try so hard to give care where it's needed. While I disagree with a lot of things, I am thankful that I have access to health care when I need it.

AS much time as I spend bitching about health care, I sometimes forget about the years that I didn't have any, and how many people don't. I like that this meme is making me think about things I take for granted. :)
