Four Random Fangirly moments

1) I really loved the opening of the new James Bond, Skyfall. The Adele song was great, but I just loved the images and artsy style of it.

It’s someone’s bootlegged video of the screen, but still – nice.

2) The Avengers cookies are going fantastically. Today I was working the stiff dough for Clint Barton’s molasses snaps and thinking his biceps would sure make it go a lot easier. :)

So far I’ve finished Thor’s Peppermint Cocoa cookies, Natasha’s Russian Snowballs, Tony’s Scotch (rum) Balls, and Bruce Banner’s Slightly Green Sunflower cookies. Maybe I’ll do Fury’s Chocolate-Cherry Bombs later tonight.

3) I quite enjoyed The Hobbit. I was deeply amused at the reappearance of the hottie elfboy, apparently Lindir. Husband didn’t believe me that it was the same guy, but my Google/Wikipedia fu proved that he was in fact. Yay!

4) That song by Foster the People, Pumped Up Kicks – I can never quite hear the words, but the bit where they say “You'd better run, better run, faster than my bullet” without thinking of Clint. :)

The Skyfall opening was one of the most surreal, yet cool looking Bond openings they've ever done. I loved everything about it.

I replied with "OMG YES!!!!!" for being in Avengers fandom, because when I'm in the right place, I totally am. I've not really read a great deal of it recently though. All the fic seemed to get a bit samey. :(

:) I'm so glad someone else loved it, I mean, the movie was good and all, but the opening sequence really popped!

Yay Avengers! I've been trawling through AO3 and while the tags are great, I find a lot better mix of good stories by seeing what the authors I like (or friends) have bookmarked.

Skyfall was a really good movie. And I don't normally listen to Adele, but I thought the song was really cool. The opening to Skyfall was superb.

And the Avengers fandom is fabulous! I haven't read nearly as much as I would have liked (darn school), but what I have read was just seriously awesome. What ships, if any, are you interested from The Avengers fandom?

Oh, and, um, sorry for just popping up. You're probably wondering who the heck I am, lol. *sheepish*

And the Avengers! *high fives* School and work do tend tog et in the way - but at least fandom is a nice way to unwind at the end of the day. I'm pretty much reading every ship, alhtough I'm a big fan of Clint/anyone and Bruce/anyone. Those guys need some love.

Fandom is a blessing and curse both, lol. On one hand, few things are as capable of calming down when I'm seriously stressed out as fandom/a good fic is. On the other hand, though, it's a procrastination goldmine. Like now, for instance, when it would really be in my best interest to put a dent into my required readings. *Sigh* I regret looking up 007/Q fics. D=

Anyway!

Clint/Darcy is a particular fave of mine (and I'm not much of a het shipper, so I honestly didn't see that one coming), and I once read a really good Bruce/Clint fic titled "Assumed a defensive stance" (by hoosierbitch). Are you familiar with it?

I like to use fanfic as my reward for work - 45 min of work, and I earn 45 min of fanfic reading. :)

I'm not so into het either, but have also been reading some with Darcy or Natasha. Maybe because they're such awesome women!
