salixbabylonFirst off, let me say that I hate sewing. I do it sometimes, but I still hate it.
But my friend convinced me there was an exceptional sale on kidprint flannel and so I went with her and it was $3/yard and my jammies are 10 years old and so I bought bugs for me and crabs for my husband. And made a date with my friend to get together for a stich-n-bitch.
Which we did today. My pattern confused me, since I haven't sewed anything for at least 5 years, but she helped and it was all going so well... Until my stupidbloodyfuckingawfulFUCKING MACHINE DIED!!!!!! I finished the jammie bottoms and almost finished the top, and was just doing the hem on a sleeve when it got slower and slower and grindy noise and then just fucking STOPPED. No thread jam, I fiddled with the tension, sprayed out the fuzz with canned air, but no. Nothing will fix it. ARGH.
See if I ever try to fucking sew again. :P *grump*grump*grump*
Oh, and we got our thesis paper assignments/questions. We have to choose two. I selected one but all the other 11 look like nightmares and I'm quietly freaking out and mostly just not thinking about anything. *sigh*

Date: 2005-01-24 06:20 pm (UTC)Cleaning? Oiling? *blush* My machine is over 10 years old (granted, it's been sitting covered and untouched for the last 4) and it's never been in for a check-up. Oops! Guess I know why it died now, huh?
I think I'd go with the stereo, too. Can always hand-wash, but you can't give up your movies!
Stupid school. :P
