Date: 2008-10-11 04:49 am (UTC)I crochet, but haven't in years.
I used to read tons of books, but now I would rather read/write fanfiction.
I definitely don't want to learn to knit. That's what old ladies do.
We aren't old ladies, we are young and hip and have above average intelligence and it is fun to share something that we have in common. The fanfiction gives us a common denominator and we talk about fanfiction and other stuff too.

Date: 2008-10-12 01:27 am (UTC)I couldn't agree more. Another advantage I think personally about reading/writing fanfiction is how sexual I feel all the time. My hubby definitely sees the advantages too. How sexy do you feel after you've had a lap full of yarn all night? Not so much I'd bet. LOL
